Tracey Elliot-Reep ( a native of my own beloved Devon) is a lady on a mission. She is committed to raising funds for various causes and charities by undertaking long distance expeditions on horseback. These journeys, frequently overseas as I discovered when I had the privilege of meeting Tracey on one of her visits to NZ, are often fraught with danger, uncertainty and hardship. I was so impressed with the way Tracey steps (or rather leaps!) out in faith I wrote "Spirit of the Wild" especially for her. It is a poem in which I have tried to capture things as I imagine she would see them.
